Grand Hyatt Singapore – King Bed Deluxe (Hotel Review)

During the covid era, I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Singapore when the Government gave us vouchers to support the local and tourism industry. I really had a great time! Years later, we are back!

Grand Hyatt Singapore has just undergone a full-scale renovation recently, with every inch of the property updated and brand new. It really took awhile and came off as a shock to me that the hotel closed for quite some time. Two years eh!

Excited is an understatement! I literally can’t wait for the day of check-in. Apart from this stay being one of my birthday celebrations, I’m always excited to see a revamped property.

When I first arrived to the hotel, the first thing that caught my eye was the amount of space. It was massive.

But it somehow reminds me of a shopping mall?

I can see the hotel somehow retains its previous interior style: sleek and modern with warm wood tones.

Check-in by Shafiqah was a definite joy. She was warm and lovely, I always appreciate conversations during the check-in process and Shafiqah was genuinely super great. For someone who is in the industry for a lot of years, she really is a superstar of the team.

The room under the King Bed Deluxe Category was just stunning. Large, spacious and so intricately designed. The carpet definitely captured my attention, it added a pop of colour to an already beautiful room.

Unlike most hotels that has a working desk, there’s a round table here in Grand Hyatt Singapore. So extra! I’m in love. You can work on it, you can eat on it, you can dance on it.

This is also where the hotel team prepared some amenities for us: like the birthday cake for yours truly, a fruit platter and the moist Madeleines. I love bahulus, so this is just great.

I loved the design of the coffee and tea making station too. It has a built-in minibar, a coffee machine and water cartons. Notice how there’s no plastic water bottles provided here? We love sustainability!

I really appreciate when big international hotels make the effort to support home-grown brands, and Grand Hyatt does exactly that. The tea provided in the room is by Monogram, a brand proudly born in Singapore. I actually found that quite thoughtful because I honestly expected to see TWG, so it was a pleasant surprise to find a local name being showcased instead.

The bed at Grand Hyatt Singapore was honestly so inviting? Once I lie down, I just know I am done for the day. We literally checked in and all I wanted to do was roll on the bed. It’s soft but still supportive and I love that we were given a bunch of pillows in different sizes and firmness. I am so spoilt for choices.

Right in front of the bed is this huge television, probably the biggest I’ve ever seen in a hotel room! It’s perfect for movie nights, even better when you roll the automatic black-out curtains down. The best part about the television is that it has Chromecast built in, so you can stream straight from your phone without bringing any HDMI cables. It’s such a simple thing but I really appreciated it!

The bathroom is simply beyond. First off, it has two sinks, which is such a small thing but makes a huge difference if you’re sharing the room. I like having my own getting-ready corner. Everything is also done in white marble on the walls and floors, so the whole space feels bright, clean and really luxurious. I really felt like I was in an atas spa!

And if you’re a bath person like me, the bathtub is huge and they even provide bath salts and a loofah. I surely did marinated myself for a good one hour, it felt sooooo good.

The shower? Uhh-mazing. The water pressure is perfect, I could honestly spend a long time in there singing Sabrina Carpenter’s songs. The toiletries are from Balmain too, which is a really nice upgrade from the usual hotel stuff. Everything smells great and just adds to the sense of luxury.

The only thing I didn’t like was the automated bidet on the toilet. It’s a bit complicated to figure out at first! There’s too many buttons, I got confused.

I personally prefer a traditional spray bidet.

Now! Will I be back to Grand Hyatt Singapore? I really don’t see a reason why I would not! The few things that comes to mind is the location, it’s great? Service of the staff? Top-notch.

Everything feels beautiful here, visually and emotionally.

I would say yes, a million times.
