I am particularly excited for this one! Not only this is the first hotel from our SINGAPURA 2025 series that we’re reviewing but close to half a decade ago, this hotel was the start of my hotelier life. Yes, I was an actual staff here! It was a different brand though? But it still lives vividly in my memories. This property taught me luxury and more. PTSD? Oh, definitely. But I’m glad the positives weigh in more than the negatives.

QT Singapore, back then was SO/ Sofitel Singapore and also the Telegraph Hotel. Rebranded twice, I really hope this new brand stays in Singapore because the property is just beautiful inside and out. Well, the third time’s a charm I hope! The location is superb too, with only the train station less than 10 minutes away. And the choices of food around the area is just endless with the iconic Lau Pa Sat literally 5 seconds away! The satays from Stall 8 is always my go-to, their grilled barbecued prawns? Heaven.

The moment I stepped into QT Singapore, I just know that they’re not the usual, cookie-cutter hotel. It’s just different and unique. I’m into heritage buildings too and the fact that this hotel is set within a 1927 neo-colonial heritage building, it’s just perfect for me.

The hotel is honestly unrecognisable compared to what it used to be. After going through two rounds of rebranding, the latest revamp is massive. It’s like the hotel finally found its personality. Everything looks brand new, from the lighting to the furniture and you can tell a lot of thought went into the details.
It’s fun, it’s fresh, and it actually makes you want to explore the space instead of just heading straight to your room.
The hotel team doesn’t wear boring suits. They’re in QT uniforms, full of style, playful and slighty glam. They look like they could be hosting a fashion week or even the models themselves! Either way, they fit the brand. And that’s the thing about QT: everything here fits the brand.

While I booked the standard King Room, I was then kindly upgraded to the oh-so amazing QT Deluxe King. The name difference might be minor but the space it offers? I truly feel like a superstar. Not because I needed all that space, but because I enjoy unnecessary luxury and the room did not disappoint! What a cutie QT!

When I walked in, I was like, “Okay woah, this is super cute.” It doesn’t feel like a boring hotel room. It feels fresh, a little playful, and very well thought out. You can tell they wanted it to feel fun but still comfortable and they actually pulled it off.

The bed is massive. I love how comfortable they are? I actually took a long nap right after the checking in.

The room itself has a really cool vibe. It’s not boring or plain! There’s colour, texture and personality. Some velvet here, soft lighting there and fun little artistic design on the walls. Nothing feels cheap or random. It’s not one of those try-hard design hotels. It actually feels like someone had fun putting this room together.

One of the things I loved was the iPad beside the bed. You can control everything from it: the lights, aircon, TV, and even the curtains. You don’t even need to leave the bed. It also replaces the old-school “Do Not Disturb” sign! Everything is digital. It’s so simple yet it makes the stay feel a bit more special.

The minibar has a nice little touch too.

The cups in there aren’t just plain hotel mugs, they’ve got cute little drawings of the hotel’s heritage building printed on them. It makes the room feel more personal, like the hotel actually cares about the little details. Because I do!

The bathroom in the Deluxe King Room gotta be my next favorite thing in the room. It’s big, clean and feels way more luxurious than you’d expect.

The moment I walked in, I saw the marble bathtub and just knew I’d be spending extra time in there. I don’t know, something about watching Despicable Me, watching the minions while soaking in the tub screams ”self-care” for me.
There’s a separate shower too with good water pressure, the kind that actually wakes you up in the morning. The tiles are sleek, everything smells fresh and the lighting is soft but bright enough for me to draw my eyebrows.

Towels are thick and fluffy and they give you more than just two set, which I always appreciate. None of that stiff, scratchy towel situation. The bathrobes are also soft and oversized, not those weird rough ones that feel like sandpaper on your body. The fact that they are also not the boring white-coloured ones? I love it!

The rooftop pool is a gem. It’s not huge but it has the best CBD skyline views I’ve ever had from a pool.
There’s also a gym, small yet functional? I walked in, admired the space and left. That’s about as close to fitness as I got. But points for atmosphere!
Now! Will I be returning to QT Singapore?

The hotel is sexy, quirky, stylish and glamourous. It’s for people who love a little performance in their luxury. If these screams YOU, this hotel should be in your list.
And yes, I would definitely return. Fully sponsored I hope?
