I have always been so impressed with The Fullerton Hotel Singapore. Not only it’s because of their impeccable service but if you know me by now, I’m always intrigued when it comes to architecture and interior design. The neo-classical design of The Fullerton Hotel is just so majestic and beautiful. In 2019, it was listed among the top 23 iconic hotels in the world by Architectural Digest. Just wow, right?

Almost all of my career life, I’ve been working in historic, monumental buildings. Maybe that’s how the obsession grew! But you know what else I’m obsessed with?
Bandung!
Bandung, is a drink popular in Maritime Southeast Asia, notably in Brunei, Malaysia and Singapore. It consists of evaporated milk or condensed milk flavoured with rose syrup (rose cordial), giving it a pink colour.

Other than my teh tariks, I love some cold, thirst quenching bandung. I love it in any form! Be it drinks, ice creams or cakes. Not sure whether it’s luck or just a coincidence.. but my favorite hotel chain, having a new menu with my favorite dessert on it?
COUNT! ME! IN!

I made reservations at The Courtyard, in Fullerton Hotel for an afternoon high tea. However, do keep in mind that these special-curated tarts are on a separate menu. If you come for the afternoon tea, it doesn’t come with the bandung tart.

Coming to Fullerton will never be a bad idea for afternoon teas. Everything was literally perfect. The menu, the ambience, the service. Ahhhh-mazing.
Collaborating with Tarte, Fullerton Hotel Singapore created a beautiful dessert menu with cakes that are inspired by local flavours. The genius that crafted these amazing sweets is none other than our award-winning local pastry chef, Cheryl Koh. Other than the bandung- flavoured tarts, there are other flavours available as well! Check it out here.

For only $13.40, you can literally taste heaven!

The crust was perfectly baked and caramelised, and the bandung cream in the middle is just perfect. It wasn’t even too sweet. It was just.. heaven! I can’t help but to take small little bites because I really felt like putting the whole tart in my mouth. It was that good! The bandung tart is perfect even if you’re not into anything sweet because the balance is just top-notch.
If you’re planning a special occasion or just need a relaxing afternoon, do come down to The Courtyard in Fullerton Singapore. The Tarte X Fullerton collaboration is still ongoing, so now it’s the perfect time for you to taste heaven. Make a reservation here!
Share with me once you tried the new menu collaboration. I’m sure you will love it as much as I do. I’m salivating just by thinking about it now. You know what? Maybe ask me along before clicking that reservation link above!
